Team Summit Cancer is a small team of friends that is dedicated to raising money for Summit Cancer Solutions.  The cycling team is made up of road bike racers, mountain bike racers, and recreational riders.  We are licensed as a racing team in Colorado through the American Cycling Association and maintain team status by promoting or helping to promote a bicycle race in Colorado. 

Throughout the year we sponsor various fund raising efforts on behalf of Summit Cancer Solutions.  The cycling team is run by Emily Gloeckner who raced road bikes for 15 years and raced with Karen Hornbostel (the founder of Summit Cancer Solutions) for a number of those years. 

Karen Hornbostel is known in the Colorado Racing Community as one of the best tactical and strongest racers in her day.  After her cancer diagnosis, Karen continued to race and spent a good portion of her time teaching the younger racers all that she knew about racing bicycles. 

One of the key members on the team, Mike Imhoff, has a family member that uses the Summit Cancer Solutions program.  All the members associated with the cycling team are dedicated athletes and believe that Summit Cancer Solutions should be a program that is available to everyone and are dedicated to getting the word out of the wonderful resources and the program that continues to run today.
